Leadership beyond the Surface
What truly drives the outcome lies beneath the surface - like an iceberg
Are you a leader ready to look deeper?
Beneath the surface is where recurring complexity, conflict and disconnection begin — individually, in your team, across your organisation.
Working at this deeper level restores the foundation for reconnection, clarity and real growth.
I am Vincent de Klerk
I am a leadership coach and strategic facilitator with over 30 years of experience worldwide. You will find me in situations where the stakes are high and classic approaches no longer work.
Let’s work beneath the surface
Nothing happens in isolation. That is why systems thinking is the foundation of my work. I focus on bringing hidden dynamics into the light and identifying solutions that hold over time.

About Vincent
For over thirty years I have worked with senior leaders and teams in situations where the stakes are high and the usual approaches no longer fit.
The work has taken me across sectors — finance, healthcare, hospitality, fashion, government, education, IT — and across countries. It taught me how organisations make decisions, and where they tend to look away.
More recently, time spent with indigenous peoples in the Amazon rainforest — alongside the ecological and climatological realities I have seen up close in my work elsewhere — has added a perspective I keep returning to: that the interests most often overlooked in a system are usually the ones that matter most over time. Future generations. The natural world. The wider context.
I notice this perspective resonates with many of the leaders I work with today. Something they were already sensing, now given language and a place at the table.
My Way of Working
I work from principles rather than from a fixed model — drawing on organisational science, psychology, and anthropology. The combination shifts with the question at hand.
Holistic and systemic
Organisations function as living systems. Change in one part affects the whole. Challenges rarely stand alone — they are shaped by interacting dynamics across stakeholders, strategy, and execution. I focus on the core of the issue and ensure interventions are coherent and durable.
Embodied and experiential
Insight alone does not shift systems. In group settings, we work physically in space to surface hidden dynamics and make relationships tangible. This anchors understanding beyond the intellectual level — and reveals what truly drives the situation.
Practical and direct
I translate new insights directly into everyday work — not as additional tasks, but as a different way of doing what already needs to be done. When something contributes to clarity or progress, I name it. Even when it sits beyond my formal mandate.
Co-created and safe
I build on the organisation's strengths and partner with internal leaders to shape the trajectory together. Real change requires psychological safety, and I create the conditions for honest dialogue and experimentation to become possible.
My Background: systemic work, constellations, Gestalt, group relations, and Insights Discovery — part of the toolkit, but no method is an end in itself.

Navigating Complexity and Chaos - Helsinki
August 2026, Forest of Helsinki
For leaders carrying major responsibility in volatile conditions, the hardest problems are rarely purely strategic. They involve pressure, conflicting stakeholder demands, unresolved tension, short-term market forces and long-term consequences. This retreat helps leaders strengthen the inner clarity, range and judgment required to lead well when conventional approaches are no longer enough.
